The press secretary of the Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris – Ashley Etienne – resigned. She wrote a statement on November 18, but will actually leave the position in December, Fox News channel reports.
A White House official noted that Etienne is one of the valuable members of the Harris team. It is noted that she worked tirelessly to implement the goals of this administration. “Etienne is leaving the vice president’s office in December to focus his efforts on other opportunities,” the White House stressed.
According to CNN, Harris is dissatisfied with the fact that she is being restricted in her powers and given losing assignments that do not correspond to the level of her competence and deprive her of the opportunity to declare herself as a candidate for the presidency in the future. At the same time, the White House denied data on the deterioration of relations between U.S. President Joe Biden and Harris.
Harris later said that she had no reason to be accused of incompetent use of her abilities. According to her, she approaches her work duties with enthusiasm.
