The second test of the American hypersonic missile AGM183A failed. As reported on Thursday, the command of the Edwards Air Force Base (California), “after the missile safely separated from the aircraft (B-52H bomber), its engine did not turn on.”
The ARRW (Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon) test was conducted on July 28 over the Point Mugu Air Base (California). “Although not all the goals of the test were achieved, it demonstrated several new points as the program was implemented,” the report says.
The first test of the AGM183A hypersonic missile was conducted on April 5. And then “the test missile could not complete the sequence of pre-launch operations” and did not separate from the B-52 bomber, the Air Force press service said.
