The start of training camps, as well as the start of the regular season of the women’s NBA (WNBA), has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the WNBA website.
The WNBA regular season was scheduled to begin on May 15.
“Due to developments around the CAVID-19 pandemic, including the extension of the US social distance guidelines until April 30, the WNBA will postpone the start of training camp and the start of the regular season. We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to our players, fans, and all members of the community affected by a coronavirus, and are grateful to those health workers and first responders who work tirelessly on the front line,” said WNBA Commissioner Kathy Engelbert.
