The Taliban took control of Panjshir province

The Afghan province of Panjshir, which remained outside the control of the Taliban, was captured by the Taliban, Free news reports, citing a source in the Kabul police.

According to him, all representatives of the resistance forces were captured by Taliban militants, and the leader of the resistance, Ahmad Masood, fled.

Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi, in turn, said that Panjshir is completely under their control.

“The largest district of Panjshir, Paryan, has completely come under the control of the Taliban,” he wrote on Twitter.

At the same time, the Panjshir resistance forces deny that the Taliban captured the area.

Panjshir remained the only province of Afghanistan not controlled by the Taliban until at least September 3.
