The U.S. called Russia the main military threat

Russia is the main threat to the United States, according to the head of the Northern Command of the American Armed Forces, Glen VanHerk. He stated this in an interview with Air Force Magazine.

“Russia is the main military threat to the motherland today. This is not China; this is Russia,” VanHerk said.

According to him, China is a “long—term threat,” but Russia has more military power.

“Submarines, bombers, cruise missiles and the like – Russia is the main military threat,” the head of the Northern Command concluded.

Moscow has repeatedly stressed that it has no aggressive intentions towards other states.
