The U.S. had previously withdrawn military instructors of the National Guard from Ukraine.
The United States has completely withdrawn its special forces from Ukraine. This was reported on Tuesday on Twitter by CNN journalist Natasha Bertrand with reference to the representative of the U.S. European Command Bill Speaks.
The journalist clarified, citing her sources, that the last task of the Special Forces was “escorting the staff of the U.S. Embassy to Poland last night.”
The Pentagon has not previously named the exact number of Special Forces troops in Ukraine. Earlier, the United States withdrew military instructors of the National Guard from Ukraine.
The United States has publicly expressed concerns that Russia may allegedly take further hostile actions against Ukraine. In particular, the Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, spoke about this at a meeting of the Security Council on Monday.
