The U.S. President Joe Biden wants to create a $2.5 billion fund to help Ukraine and countries hosting refugees, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at a briefing in Chisinau.

“The war provoked a humanitarian crisis; Moldova deserves the gratitude of the world community for accepting refugees. The United States will provide assistance to Moldova, the Biden administration has asked to approve an emergency fund of $ 2.5 billion for Ukraine and countries that help refugees,” Blinken said.
