The U.S. is discussing with the EU the prospect of refusing to buy oil from Russia, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

“We are now talking with European partners to consider coordinated actions in the context of the prospect of a ban on the import of Russian oil,” Blinken said in an interview with CNN.

He noted that the day before he called with U.S. President Joe Biden and members of the administration to talk about this issue.

According to Blinken, it is important to make sure that there will be enough fuel on the international market.
