The mayor of the American city of Miami, Francis Suarez, called on the United States to strike Cuba to overthrow the country’s government. He said this on Fox News.

According to the head of the city, Washington should study this method of pressure on Havana.

“We need to discuss and consider this as a potential option in addition to a lot of other options,” Suarez believes.

He later told the Miami Herald that he was expecting a call from the US president to discuss with him the possibility of military intervention in Cuba.

Protests began on the island on Sunday, July 11. Thousands of people took part in the demonstrations, who demanded to “hold free elections” and solve social problems. Supporters of the Cuban government, after the president’s call to take to the streets and fight back against provocations, held their own marches in the country’s cities.
