The Secretary of State noted that since February, the United States has allocated about $293 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The United States has additionally allocated $186 million to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians.
This was announced by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a statement published on the website of the Department of State.
As the head of the American Foreign Ministry noted, “the United States provides more than $186 million in additional humanitarian aid to support internally displaced persons and more than 3 million refugees” from Ukraine.
Blinken drew attention to the need to “facilitate unhindered humanitarian access to Ukraine.”
He also called for a “safe exit for those who want to leave the cities.”
The Secretary of State noted that since February, the United States has allocated about $ 293 million for humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, and over the past eight years – about $ 644 million.
More than 3 million refugees from Ukraine have arrived in neighboring countries, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reported on Tuesday.
According to the information posted on its website, from February 24 to March 15, the number of refugees who left Ukraine reached 3,000 381.
In particular, 1,830,711 people arrived in Poland, 459,485 in Romania, 337,315 in Moldova, and 267,570 in Hungary.
