The United States has declared its readiness to cooperate for the sake of maintaining peace in the Middle East

The country’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, noted that the US efforts are aimed at working in a “multilateral, diplomatic and strategic” way.

The United States is ready to cooperate at the international level to maintain peace in the Middle East. The corresponding statement was made, speaking to reporters, the country’s permanent representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

“Now we need to focus on achieving more tangible progress on the path to sustainable peace. We must work together to solve the acute humanitarian problems that are especially and largely observed in the Gaza Strip,” she said.

According to her, the US efforts are aimed at carrying out work in a “multilateral, diplomatic and strategic” way. “We are committed to working with other members of the international community in the long term to ensure the conditions for a stable and sustainable world,” the US ambassador to the world organization said.

US President Joe Biden said earlier that the United States is committed to working with the United Nations and other international players to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of the Gaza Strip and rebuild the enclave. At the same time, the head of the US administration stressed that the US will “implement these efforts in close coordination with the Palestinian authorities, not with Hamas, while not allowing Hamas to restore their military arsenal.” The ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip came into force on Friday at 02:00 GMT.
