The United States intends to provide Ukraine with an additional $ 100 million in assistance for measures to protect the civilian population and infrastructure of the country, the Department of State said.

The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on March 26 that the White House administration would send Ukraine additional assistance of $ 100 million. It will specifically focus on strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in order to promote “border security, maintaining the functions of civil law and order and protecting critical government infrastructure.”

Earlier, President Biden, during his visit to Poland, said that the comprehensive assistance that the West provides to Ukrainians will increase, and it will be provided in close contact with the government of Ukraine.

“On behalf of the American people, we are ready to provide another billion dollars for those who have become refugees and for those who have suffered… as a result of the negative impact of this war on food security,” the U.S. president added.
