The Universal studio has announced the release date of the cartoon “Puss in Boots 2”

Universal Studio, together with DreamWorks Animation, announced the release date of the sequel to the animated film “Puss in Boots,” Deadline reports.

The sequel to the 2011 cartoon will be called “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” and will be released on September 23, 2022.

The upcoming project will be directed by Joel Crawford and produced by Mark Swift. Both filmmakers worked together on the animated film “The Croods 2” (2020).

According to Deadline, the charming and bold Puss in Boots will once again be voiced by Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas.

In the cartoon, the main character, having lost eight of his nine cat lives, is left with only one. To restore them all, the Cat embarks on a dangerous journey to find the mythical Last Wish.
