US President Donald Trump: “Negotiations are underway, which is good for everyone.”

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said the United States is interested in the “short-term” results of trade talks with China. He also warned that it could take years to resolve the trade conflict between the world’s two largest economies.

Kudlow explained that despite the fact that negotiations have been going on for 18 months, given the seriousness of the issue, this is a relatively short period.

Kudlow confirmed that the talks will be resumed in early October, but refused to predict their results and did not give an approximate date for reaching an agreement.

US President Donald Trump tweeted that China is suffering from new customs duties imposed by him. “Billions are pouring into the US. Patriot farmers (for whose products China has imposed sanctions-GA) will receive large sums of dollars from the new tariffs. Good statistics in employment. No inflation. China has the worst year in decades. Negotiations are underway, which is good for everyone.”
