The US decided to allocate 5 million dollars to the victims of the fighting in Karabakh

The United States intends to provide humanitarian assistance in the amount of 5 million dollars to victims of Karabakh’s fighting, the US State Department said in a statement on Twitter.

The US Foreign Ministry said that hostilities’ cessation is “only the first step towards achieving a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through negotiations.”

“To help people affected by the fighting, the United States will provide humanitarian assistance in the amount of five million dollars,” the report said.

The State Department also called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to resume cooperation with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to find a “lasting and sustainable political solution” to the conflict.
