Iran for the first time since November 1991 exported oil to the United States in the amount of 33 thousand barrels per day, according to the materials of the Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy.

The last time Iran supplied oil to the United States was in November 1991. Then the volume of deliveries amounted to 64 thousand barrels per day.

In turn, Russia increased the supply of oil and petroleum products to the United States by 1.8 times compared to February, to 22.94 million barrels. Thus, Russia rose to second place in terms of fuel exports. The first place was taken by Canada (139.87 million barrels), the third – by Mexico (17.62 million barrels).

Most of the Russian supplies to the United States came from petroleum products, with oil exports totaling 6.1 million barrels. According to this indicator, the Russian Federation took fourth place, behind Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. Canada exported the most oil to the United States – 119.12 million barrels.

Exports of Russian oil and petroleum products to the United States in March increased by 14.6% compared to the same period in 2020, while supplies of oil alone increased by 24.5%. The United States imported 179.4 million barrels of oil in March, which is 22.9 million barrels more than in February.
