He did nothing more than stumble, said Kate Bedingfield, director of communications for the presidential administration.
American leader Joe Biden did not need medical attention on Friday after tripping and fell while climbing the presidential plane. This was announced on Twitter by White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield.
“I know that many people saw President Biden stumble on the ramp of air force one. I’m happy to say that he’s fine. It didn’t even require any attention from the medical team that flies with him. He did nothing more than stumble,”
Bedingfield wrote.
Responding to questions from reporters aboard the presidential plane, White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said: “It was very windy outside. I almost fell myself when I went up the ladder. He [Biden] is 100% fine.”
The 78-year-old president stumbled twice and fell to one knee as he tried to climb the presidential plane before taking off for Georgia quickly. Nevertheless, he got up quickly enough, went up the ramp, turned around, and saluted the servicemen who were present at the plane.
