At least one person was killed and eight others were injured in a shooting in New York’s Harlem neighborhood on Monday. This was reported by the local division of the NBC TV channel with reference to the police.
Earlier, the New York Post newspaper informed about six victims.
According to the TV channel, all the injured were hospitalized, among them two women and seven men, one of whom was pronounced dead in the hospital.
Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the incident. No other details are given.
