Three Chinese companies were included in the list of threats to US national security

In total, the list includes five Chinese companies that produce telecommunications equipment.

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has added three more Chinese companies to the list of firms that pose a threat to national security. This follows from the message of the department, which was published on Friday.

“The Federal Communications Commission today released a list of communications equipment and services that have been identified as a threat to national security,” the statement said. “It includes five Chinese companies that produce telecommunications equipment.” These included Huawei Technologies Co., ZTE Corp., Hytera Communications Corp., Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co., and Dahua Technology Co. The document also emphasizes that this list will be updated if necessary.

Last June, the FCC decided to recognize Chinese telecommunications companies Huawei and ZTE as threatening US national security. It prohibited the use of funds from the commission fund for the purchase of equipment and services from Huawei and ZTE and their subsidiaries and parent companies. Later, Huawei and ZTE asked the agency to review this decision, but the regulator rejected them.
