President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky received an invitation to visit Washington on an official visit, the press service of the presidential administration reported.

The statement said that Zelensky thanked the United States for “consistent support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine.” In this regard, it is noted that the draft law on strengthening support for Ukraine, which was presented in the House of Representatives of the US Congress, is an important signal for the formation of a strategic partnership.

The bill provides for the transfer of weapons to Kiev, including anti-tank, anti-ship and anti-aircraft systems, the sale of lethal defense equipment, as well as strengthening the ability to resist cyber attacks.

The date of Zelensky’s possible visit to the United States is not known yet. Perhaps this could happen after the G20 summit in late June.
