“As an answer to many questions: I am not present on any social media platforms in any form, including Parler, GETTR, Gab,” Trump said in a written statement. These platforms tend to the right-wing political spectrum.
“When I decide to choose a platform or build or complete my own, this will be announced,” Trump said.
Some social networks have accounts that repost Trump’s statements and are named after him, but they do not have badges confirming their authenticity.
Trump’s accounts in most social networks were erased or blocked after he was accused of inciting hatred following the storming of the Capitol by Trump supporters on January 6 of this year. The House of Representatives impeached Trump on the same charges, but the Senate acquitted him with the votes of fellow Republicans.
