Relations between Russia and the United States were spoiled by the investigation of the alleged Moscow interference in the American elections, which was engaged in special Prosecutor Robert Mueller but can be adjusted. President Donald Trump stated it in an interview with Fox News.
“I think we can have good relations with Russia. I think it was spoiled by the false witch hunt. I can have good relations with Russia,” the American leader answered the question of whether there is still an opportunity to establish relations with Moscow, which he spoke about at the beginning of his presidential term.
The US Department of Justice published the final report of Mueller on April 18. The special Prosecutor claimed that Russia tried to influence the course of the presidential election campaign in the United States in 2016. At the same time, Mueller admitted that the investigation did not reveal trump’s collusion with Russia. Trump himself has repeatedly called the ongoing investigation a “witch hunt” and denied all accusations of collusion with Moscow and its impact on the election results. Moscow has also repeatedly rejected allegations of attempts to influence the US elections.
