Trump’s lawyer opposed the release of his tax returns

One of Donald Trump’s lawyers, Ronald Fischetti, said that on behalf of the former and future US presidents, he objects to the plans of the current administration to submit his client’s tax returns to Congress.

“There are no signs of any violations, and I object to the publication of declarations not only on behalf of my client but also on behalf of everyone who will hold the post of president of the United States in the future,” the American media quoted him as saying.

Fischetti did not specify what actions he intends to take.

The lawyer accused Trump’s political opponents of another attempt to discredit the former president and said that in the past, the Justice Department refused a similar request to Democratic lawmakers, considering it “politically motivated.”
