Trump’s niece said he was disappointed because of the failed assault on the Capitol.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump was most likely disappointed that the storming of the Capitol in January failed. The politician was accused of this by his niece Mary Trump, Newsweek reports.

According to her, the ex-president knew that, together with his closest associates, he was directly responsible for the riots that broke out in the country, and believed that he could stop them. However, instead of contributing to the cessation of violence, Trump reveled in it and did not feel any regret over the current situation, his niece believes.

“The only thing that disappointed him was that it the riots didn’t work that day,” a relative of the former American leader said.
