Antonio Guterres expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expresses his condolences to the families of the victims of the Buffalo shooting and strongly condemns all forms of racism and discrimination. The corresponding statement was distributed on Sunday by the deputy official representative of the head of the world organization, Farhan Haq.

“The Secretary-General was shocked by the murder of 10 people as a result of an act of violent racist extremism in Buffalo <…>. The Secretary-General strongly condemns racism in all its manifestations, as well as discrimination based on race, religion, beliefs or nationality. We must all work together to build more peaceful and inclusive societies,” the message reads.

Guterres expressed hope that justice will soon prevail against the perpetrator of the crime.
