Google has opened up more opportunities to improve the online maps service: users will be able to draw unmarked routes.

Now users of the service can only put a mark on the place where the road is, enter its name and send a request to the company.

But the new tool, the functionality of which resembles the line drawing tool in popular graphic editors, will allow not only adding roads that are not in Google Maps, but also entering data characterizing them. You can, for example, indicate that there is a one-way traffic.

Changes will be made after verification – on average in 7 days, the official blog says.

We are talking only about roads for transport – paths, pedestrian or bicycle paths in the company are asked not to add.

In the near future, the feature should appear in 80 countries.
