The American computer game developer Valve has introduced a new portable game console Steam Deck.
“Steam Deck is the most powerful multifunctional portable gaming PC in the world,” the console’s official website says. The new processor is enough to run “the latest high-budget games,” the company notes.
The developers note that on the Steam Deck, users can run all the games available to their accounts from the library of the Steam game store. The game console has three variants of the model, differing in the size of memory-64, 256 and 512 gigabytes. The battery is capable of providing from 2 to 8 hours of play.
The game console can be connected to a TV and monitor, and via Bluetooth it can be connected to a wireless keyboard, mouse or headphones. In addition, users can install third-party software, turning the game console into a regular personal computer.
“Surf the Internet, watch video broadcasts, do everything that is usual-yes, you can even install other video game stores, we will not be offended,” the Steam Deck website says.
Prices for the console start from $ 399; delivery is planned from December 2021 in the USA, Canada, the EU and the UK. In 2022, the list of regions will be replenished, the company assures.
