Virgin Galactic announced the sale of tickets for space flights

The company Virgin Galactic begins selling tickets to “space tourists,” the price of one seat starts from 450 thousand dollars.

In a statement, the company says about three options for consumers in the “private astronautics market”: in addition to one seat, the company offers a “family package” or the possibility of full flight purchase.

The next flight of the Unity spacecraft is scheduled for the end of September; the Italian Air Force pays for this mission.

On July 11, Virgin Galactic successfully launched its Unity spacecraft with a crew of four people, headed by the company’s owner Richard Branson. After separation from the carrier aircraft, Unity independently climbed to an altitude of more than 80 kilometers, where the crew could feel weightlessness for a few minutes. After that, the device began to descend and soon landed on the territory of a private spaceport in the US state of New Mexico.
