The WarnerMedia media holding, which includes HBO, CNN and Warner Bros, suspends broadcasting, licensing, release of films and games in Russia, Variety reports, citing a statement by CEO Jason Kilar that came to its disposal.

“As a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, WarnerMedia suspends all new activities in Russia. This includes the termination of broadcasting of our channels, the termination of licensing of new content with Russian companies and the suspension of planned releases of games and movies,” the publication quotes Kilar as saying.

Kilar noted that the company is monitoring the development of the situation.

Earlier it was reported that the company Warner Bros. suspended the release of the movie “Batman” in Russian cinemas against the background of the situation in Ukraine, CNN announced the termination of broadcasting in Russia.
