Xiaomi has to apologize to users for not allowing MIUI 12.5 testing

Xiaomi has excluded several users from the MIUI 12.5 firmware testing program. they didn’t rate the software last week. After a while, the company had to apologize and explain the reasons for its actions.

After being excluded from the MIUI 12.5 beta program, users started complaining to the CEO of Xiaomi on Weibo. Later, a public relations representative for the company apologized and said that MIUI developers would “give a reasonable answer” in the near future.

As it turned out, with the release of Xiaomi Community 3.0, the manufacturer changed the procedure for internal software testing. In the new version of the community, users need to complete weekly tasks on time. These include evaluating the shell, writing reviews about it, and suggestions for improvement.

In case of non-fulfillment of the tasks, users will be suspended from testing the firmware, which, in fact, happened. At the same time, users report that they were not informed about the changes made to the rules.
