In anticipation of the announcement of MIUI 13, Xiaomi continues to update supported devices to the current version of MIUI 12.5 shell. This time the firmware was released for Redmi Note 7.
The new version of the system came out with the build number V12.5.3.0.QFGCNXM and so far some users of devices in China have begun to receive it. In other regions, the firmware will appear a little later.
As for the changelog, it is standard for MIUI 12.5: improved animation, slightly changed interface, new live wallpapers, more system nature sounds, several updated applications, improved privacy, etc.
As a reminder, Redmi Note 7 entered the market in 2019 with MIUI 10 and Android 9.0 Pie on board. Since then, the device has received MIUI 11 and MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The smartphone is unlikely to be updated to Android 11, but it is possible to MIUI 13.
