According to the President of Ukraine, the head of the White House is perceived in Ukrainian society as the leader of the largest democratic civilization.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy believes that it would be important for the head of the American administration Joe Biden to visit Kyiv. He outlined this position in an interview with Fox News.
“I think this is very important,” Zelenskiy said in English, referring to the relevant issue. According to him, Biden is perceived in Ukrainian society as “the president of the largest democratic civilization.”
“I think it would be an important signal,” the President of Ukraine stressed, speaking about the possibility of the American leader’s visit to Kyiv. From his point of view, it “would be good” for Biden himself as the “president of the country supporting” Ukraine.
On Monday, White House press Secretary Jen Psaki once again stated that the U.S. administration is not currently working on plans for the U.S. president’s visit to Ukraine. Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi visited Kyiv.
