The President of Ukraine said that Moscow is trying to prevent his country from earning billions of dollars on the export of agricultural products.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that the Russian blockade of Ukrainian seaports prevents Kyiv from exporting 22 million tons of grain.
In his nightly address, Zelenskiy said that this could lead to famine in countries dependent on supplies and a new migration crisis.
According to him, “this is what the Russian leadership is clearly striving for.”
Zelenskiy accused Moscow of “deliberately creating this problem so that it would be difficult for the whole of Europe, and so that Ukraine would not earn billions of dollars on its exports.”
He called Russia’s statements that sanctions prevent it from increasing food exports “cynical” and false.
