The President of Ukraine discussed with the head of the European Council further assistance to the country.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that he had discussed with the head of the European Council Charles Michel further assistance to the country, and stated the need to already make a decision on Ukraine’s membership in the EU.

“The decisive moment has come to close the long-standing discussion once and for all and make a decision on Ukraine’s membership in the EU. I discussed with the head of the European Council Charles Michel further effective assistance,” he wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

In February 2019, the Verkhovna Rada approved amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, fixing the country’s strategic course for joining the EU and NATO.
